Dance for A Dead PrincessDance for A Dead Princess by Deborah Hawkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What lesson did you learn from the story? People aren’t always what they seem. It is easy to believe that Nicholas Carey is a womaniser. He has the power, money and looks. The notion that married life was wearing him down and he chose to get rid of his wife also seems plausible or is it? Many unspoken words between the two characters and I can’t wait to read other books by this author.

Five things you liked about the main character. Taylor was charming just as Nicholas is suave. She is inquisitive, professional, loving, a history buff and loyal. She didn’t walk away from Nicholas or Burnham until she knew exactly what was going on. Easy to connect with her and the two made a great combination.

Find one word that describes a character in your book very well. Taylor - Motivated. She tried to do her job quickly and she wanted to do it right. She wanted to know the truth and she wanted to save the abbey. In the end, she saved her own life and the Duke’s. All characters were well fleshed out and the writing was engaging.
